Electrical Rotating Machine Condition Assessment (Characteristic, Defects, Diagnostic Tests and Assessment Strategies)
Provide you all the information you need to properly assess the condition of your Rotating Machines.
Overview
Rotating Machines are subjected to several stresses during service and a proper evaluation of condition is essential to guarantee a reliable and extended life. Management of Rotating Machine requires knowledge of the design characteristics, typical defects, detection techniques and most importantly data interpretation.
The 2 half-days virtual instructor-led Training (VILT) starts with review of the electrical stresses in the rotating machine by understanding the machine design and defects that can be present. Relevant condition assessment tests available for both online and offline test to assess the presence of defects will be presented. Each of the failure mechanisms will be described in more detail during the second session with a method to quantify the significance and consequence of the anomaly and identify the correct tool to design a test strategy to manage the mechanism toward implementing repair.
Online / Offline test:
The instructors will describe the pro’s and cons for each of the condition assessment tests, how to conduct the tests and how to interpret the results. (The description will include the basic test principle, procedures with , standard based evaluation and interpretation of the results). The participant will learn the principles of the tests and how to conduct each test.
This virtual training will identify best practices for condition monitoring and testing of Electrical Rotating Machines. The diagnostic tests are described in depth to explain the test result evaluation. This will be augmented by case studies to show some real examples.
